What you need to know

Your Bank of America prepaid debit card can no longer be used. Contact our Service Center to:

  • Request a check to retrieve any remaining funds.
  • Check your prepaid debit card account balance or transaction activity.
  • Change the address on the account.

What happens if you don't retrieve your entire card account balance

  • Any remaining balance will be reported and remitted as unclaimed property to the appropriate state, in accordance with and after a period of time defined by that state's escheatment laws.
  • Once funds are turned over to the state, Bank of America will no longer be liable for them. To reclaim your funds, you’ll need to apply through the appropriate state agency.
