Let’s build something together

Bank of America’s Greater Maryland presence encompasses the diverse port city of Baltimore and its surrounding communities. For years, we have supported local partners focused on workforce development and job creation within the area’s thriving biotechnology, construction, healthcare, sustainability and manufacturing sectors. We have also supported local HBCUs, such as Morgan State University, as part of our commitment to advancing racial equality and economic opportunity across our neighborhoods.

To empower our local small business community, we provide access to funding, mentorship and training for entrepreneurs in the area. We also champion organizations and knowledge-sharing programs focused on financing, developing and retaining affordable housing across Baltimore and the surrounding region. In addition, we diligently work with community partners to combat food insecurity among our neighbors in need.

Loans to help build stronger neighborhoods in Baltimore

Since 1989, Baltimore Community Lending (BCL) has been supporting underserved Baltimore neighborhoods through access to capital. By financing small businesses and entrepreneurs in these neighborhoods, BCL is one of the organizations standing on the front lines of the city’s recovery.

Being a great place to work has its rewards. And awards.

Because of our investments in industry-leading programs and resources, and our commitment to helping teammates achieve their personal and professional goals, we were awarded the Grand Stevie Award for Organization of the Year. *

* The Stevie Awards recognize the achievements of businesses and professionals worldwide. Organizations self-nominate, providing data for various categories, and winners are determined by the average scores of more than 240 professionals worldwide serving as judges.

** For the annual Rankings, JUST Capital collects and analyzes corporate data to evaluate the 1,000 largest public U.S. companies across 20 issues identified through comprehensive, ongoing public opinion research on Americans' attitudes toward responsible corporate behavior. In determining the top 10 companies for workers, JUST Capital used its Workers Leaders Index which tracks the top 20% of companies in its annual Rankings that perform the best across the five worker related issues evaluated. https://justcapital.com
