Online Banking and Mobile Banking Features

Bank of America’s Online Bill Pay lets you pay your monthly bills. Like your utilities, credit card, or even your phone bill quickly and securely.

First thing you’ll do, is sign into Online Banking and click Bill Pay. From here you can set up the companies you want to pay. Make sure you have your latest bills handy because you’ll need to enter in your account information. To add a new company you want to pay, click Add a new Pay-To account. Then under Pay a Company, choose Browse a list of companies. From here, you can look for companies by category, company name, or do a search. If you don’t see the company you’re looking for, you can always add it by entering in the company’s information.

Once you’ve added the company, it will always show up on your Bill Pay list. So the next time you’re ready to pay your bills, all you need to do is enter the amount, select a date for payment, and click Make Payments.

It’s that easy. You can even set up automatic payments so that payments are made according to the payment schedule you create. And for added convenience, once you set up your payees, you can click the Bill Pay tile in your activity center the next time you want to pay them.

Depositing a check, just got easier with your Bank of America mobile banking app.

Open your app, use your fingerprint to securely log in and select deposits.

Endorse the check and take a picture of the front and back of the check with your smartphone as shown.

Hold steady and the photo will be taken automatically.

Select the account to receive the deposit and enter the amount.

Tap continue, confirm the details and select Make Deposit.

You'll immediately get a message that your deposit is processing.

Within seconds, we'll also send an email confirming we received your deposit.

Depending on the time of your deposit, funds are generally available the next business day.

The Bank of America Mobile Banking app, together with Zelle, lets you securely send or request money to or from almost anyone, no matter where they bank.

To get started, open your app, log in, and select Transfer|Send.

If this is your first time sending money, select Begin Setup to accept the agreement.

Next, select Add/Edit your Email/Mobile # to add your contact information, and select the account where you want to receive your money.

When prompted, enter the code to confirm we have your contact information correct.

Now you are set to send and receive money using Zelle in the Bank of America app.

Now, say you want to send $20 to Tim Jones for yesterday's lunch.

In Transfer|Send, tap Send. Select Tim from your recipients list or + Add from contacts.

Enter the amount, select the account, add an optional note, and tap Send money.

The money, along with a message, is on its way to Tim.

Tim will then get a text or email saying you sent him money.

If he is already registered with Zelle, the funds will go right into his bank account. Otherwise, he'll be guided through an easy registration.

You can also request money, like $15 from Robin for the cab you shared last night.

From Transfer|Send select Request, find Robin in your contacts, enter the amount, and she will instantly be sent a message that you requested the money.

If she's not already using Zelle, she will receive a message with instructions on how to get started.

You can even split a request among your friends, like for the group dinner you paid for last night.

Select friends in your contacts. Enter the total amount of the dinner, $120 and the math will be done for you.

Add an optional note, adjust individual amounts as needed, and the request will be sent instantly.

So, next time you need to pay someone back, just open your Bank of America app.

The Spending and Budgeting Tool within the Bank of America mobile banking app is just one of the ways we make it easier to keep an eye on your cash flow and stay on budget.

Start by choosing a credit card or checking account. Then scroll down and tap Track Spending.

You’ll see your monthly Bank of America banking and linked Merrill investment account transactions automatically sorted, to help you track your spending at a glance.

Choose your account group, and you can select all the accounts you want included in the view. Then tap Save.

You can also categorize routine expenses, like rent, into simple spending categories.

Select any color to see details for that category; spending history, insights, and recent transactions. Another tap lets you go deeper.

When you’re ready to set a budget, tap, and then verify your income level. Tap NEXT to choose how you want to start — either based on your past spending or with a blank budget.

Then, take a good look at the money you’ve got coming in and going out. You can tap INCOME to view a breakdown of what you’ve got.

Tap TRANSACTIONS to see your INCOME, SPENDING, and TRANSFERS.

Or tap CASH FLOW to view your income against your spending, with projected surplus, or shortfall.
